China's power line output is more than the United States
Release time: 2021-12-31 18:10
In the world, the total output value of wires and cables in China has surpassed that of the United States, becoming the world's largest producer of wires and cables. With the rapid development of China's wire and cable industry, the number of new enterprises is rising, and the overall technical level of the industry has been greatly improved. Although the wire and cable industry is a basic industry, it currently accounts for a quarter of the output value of our electrical industry. It is called the "artery" and "nerve" of the national economy. As the second largest industry after automobile, its product variety satisfaction rate and domestic market share are more than 90%.
Since the reform and opening up, the huge production capacity formed by China's cable manufacturing industry makes the world sit up and take notice. In 2009, the Chinese government actively stimulated domestic demand, and increased the investment in urban and rural power grid construction and transformation. The domestic electric wire and cable industry ushered in new opportunities and great potential for development in the future.
Judging from the rapid development of China's economy and the historical growth, in recent years, the cable demand in China has an annual growth of 15%, but there are few cable manufacturers on the scale. At the same time, the ultra-clean cross-linked polyethylene insulating material used for high-voltage cables cannot be produced in China so far, and many special wire and cable materials still rely on imports.
Where is the wire and cable enterprise breakthrough
The product structure of Chinese electric wire and cable industry has been adjusted well. With the issuance of the ROHS directive by the European Union, the research and development and large-scale adoption of eco-friendly wire and cable has become an international trend. With the increase of eco-environmental awareness, the application of halogen-free and low-smoke cross-linked polyolefin insulated wires and cables will gradually expand.
At present, the application of flame retardant and fireproof cables at home and abroad has been expanded to many fields, such as mining, general rubber cable, elevator cable, household electrical cables have different degrees of flame retardant requirements. Halogen-free and low-smoke cross-linked polyolefin insulated wires and cables have been adopted in key cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.
Focusing on technological innovation and sustainable utilization of raw materials, only by reducing environmental pollution can we effectively improve the utilization rate of resources and reduce costs. Can predict, which enterprise does well in this respect, become the wire and cable industry leader will be just around the corner.
Wire and cable enterprises to upgrade the new energy industry
China's first round of 1 million kW offshore wind power concession project bidding has been announced, indicating that offshore wind power has entered the stage of large-scale development. Offshore wind farm construction is an important direction of the international new energy development at present, and it will also be the development direction of Chinese wind power industry. As for submarine cable, its application in offshore wind power generation and transmission has a broad market prospect.
As the submarine cable engineering is recognized by all countries in the world as a complex and difficult large-scale project, from environmental detection, Marine physical investigation, as well as cable design, manufacturing and installation, all the use of complex technology, so far the submarine cable manufacturers in the world is still a small number. At present, most of the submarine power cables used in China need to be imported.
At present, the technology level of submarine cables can not be compared with that of foreign counterparts, especially the manufacturing of 220 kV and above voltage level photoelectric composite submarine cables, submarine cross-linked cable technology is currently in the development stage in China, and some high-tech products for deep sea and oil platforms are only in the understanding stage in China. Some special cable technology is even less known, and we still have a long way to go.
There is a great demand for submarine cables in China. If cable manufacturers can seize the opportunity, make independent innovation, and take advantage of their own favorable conditions to develop advantageous submarine cable products, they will not only occupy a place in the domestic market, but also make full use of their domestic cost advantages to enter the international market.
Now the domestic wire and cable enterprises face a period of rapid development, which is closely related to the development of our country's economy and society, national defense, energy, etc.
According to the state plan, it will accelerate the construction of new countryside, rural urbanization. This requires considerable power, which in turn requires a lot of wire and cable usage.
Not long ago, the State Grid Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the State Grid) announced the completion of the UHV power grid in North, East and Central China (the "three Huas") by 2015, forming a "three vertical, three horizontal and one ring network". On the same day, the State Grid announced that the 1000kV Southeast of Shanxi -- Nanyang -- Jingmen UHV AC test demonstration project, which has the highest operating voltage in the world, has been accepted by the state, which indicates that UHV is no longer a "test" and "demonstration" stage, and the approval and construction process of subsequent projects is expected to accelerate.
In the next five years, UHV investment will increase significantly. State Grid aims to build a smart power grid by 2020, with the "Sanhua" UHV synchronous power grid as the center, the Northeast UHV power grid and the Northwest 750-kV power grid as the transmission terminals, connecting major coal power bases, hydropower bases, nuclear power bases and renewable energy bases, and coordinating the development of power grids at all levels.
